first decided to move to New York when I was 10. I was a huge fan of the television show Fame, and it seemed clear that whatever my future held, it needed to involve dancing on cafeteria tables and living in New York. It took more than 20 years to realize that dream, and I'm still looking for a proper lunchtime jam. Here is a story I wrote about my first four months in New York City.
