ast July I spent three days at the Mary Kay 40th anniversary seminar. This is a yearly event, in which 53,000 women in business suits descend on downtown Dallas for a series of motivational sessions at the Convention Center. I went out of genuine curiosity, but it also had a certain kitsch magnetism. I guess I expected to gawk at them, and I did a little, but I didn't expect I would be so drawn in. Here is The Dallas Observer story that resulted from my time with Mary Kay salesforce, "Think Pink." (A word of caution: It's very long.)
